What's the difference between a one-off shoot and working with Midsummer on retainer?
A one-off shoot solves this month's content gap. A retainer builds a visual system; Consistent style, a growing content library, and a partner who already understands your brand by the time your next campaign, launch, or event comes around. Most of our client relationships move to retainer within the first project because the compounding value becomes obvious fast.
What does an engagement actually include?
Every package is scoped around outcome, not just hours on set — strategy, direction, production, and edited final deliverables. Pass-through costs (travel, talent, location fees, permits) are billed separately at cost, and we flag anything likely to apply during scoping so there are no surprises on the invoice.
How involved do I need to be?
As much or as little as you want. We can work from a creative brief you provide, or lead the strategy end-to-end if you'd rather stay focused on running your business. Most clients land somewhere in between - final sign-off on direction, hands-off on execution.
How fast can you turn projects around?
Standard delivery windows are shared at proposal stage and depend on scope — a half-day content sprint moves faster than a full campaign. What we won't do is rush the edit to hit an arbitrary deadline; quality control on final assets isn't negotiable.
Do you work outside Miami?
Yes. Miami is home base, but we travel for the right projects — including several of the campaigns in our portfolio.
